Hi friend! I can’t wait to get to know you! My love language is deep and meaningful conversation 😉 so I hope that this podcast continues to be a two-way conversation. A little bit about me: I love sunshine, books, and learning new things. If something can be done barefoot, that’s how it’ll happen. Hanging out, swimming, or taking a walk with Bill and our beautiful little girls is my favorite.

I was raised in a Ruckmanite style Independent Baptist Church. While in the IFB, God was more of a task-master and someone to be feared than a loving father or faithful friend. After a life changing event made me question everything, God kindly brought many resources into my life to teach me that the gospel was enough for everyday life and that God’s love was truly unconditional. This started the journey of breaking free from fear and performance based Christianity.

My passion is to watch people’s eyes light up when they realize how known and loved they are. YOU are so loved and so seen.  I love to support Christians as they journey out of legalism and heal their relationship with God and with themselves, as I do the same.

I surrendered to Jesus’ call on my life as a young girl. Of course, I did not understand all that God had planned for me and took a few detours now and then. But I am so thankful for God’s grace! Whew, that just continues to become more real to me daily. The journey we have been on is a beautiful and difficult one. Yes, there is beauty to be found in the ashes.

I love my family. I love teaching. I love traveling. I love music. I love chocolate. You may find me just lying in a field looking up at the stars or having a deep conversation over a cup of coffee. You might find me at our local Zoo, just enjoying all of the animals, for hours. You will probably find me yelling at the TV during college football season. 

But my prayer is that my Father will find me faithful as He has been faithful to me.

I am married to my 6th grade crush, Bobby. We have four grown kids and two more married into the family. These people are literally my favorite people! 

Bobby and I left the “IFB world” 30 years ago. We stepped into full-time ministry together in the SBC in 1991. We served in 3 churches during that 26 years. 

We now attend a local church that has brought rest and healing to our souls!  We are still on the journey!
